The upcoming MICE BUSINESS SUMMIT (MBS) is dedicated to Raise African Private-Public sector comprehensive MICE tourism summit. Taking place at the Cologne Martim Hotel , Germany on 28th and 30th November, 2021 the Summit’s insightful programme focuses on innovative approaches to leveraging business and policy-critical opportunities available to Africa’s business and MICE tourism stakeholders.

The organizers and the host institution, MICE Africa and MICE Ghana, are pleased to announce the confirmation of other speakers at the business summit, who are a mix of academic and industry experts to share practical insights, experiences and knowledge. They include Ala Uddina CEO of Alauddin Clothing Bangladesh , Gebert Janssen managing director of Party and Event Architect Netherlands, Dr. Victor Okhai Directors Guild of Nigeria and Dr. Marlyn Morris founder and program manager Ontario College for development training Canada.

The sessions will focus on global industry best practices, progressive policy-making, industry trends and innovation. These will be preceded by Masterclass on Sustainable business, MICE Tourism Product Development – Leisure and Business Tourism/Events on 28th November, led by Dr .Kwasi Jona Institute of Domestic Democracy Ghana.

Attendees including policy-makers, business leaders and entrepreneurs will gain from this through learning, networking and creating new business linkages.

Dr. Marlyn Morris, an expert in Tourism Marketing, Founder and program Manager Ontario College for development training Canada notes that “the MBS underpins Africa’s role in world MICE industry, and most significantly signals the continent’s new development paradigm spearheaded by MICE tourism.”

His Majesty Royal Panford, CEO MICE Ghana, also observes that Africa has a fantastic potential for growth and development given the uniqueness of its unexplored MICE tourism assets. According to His Majesty Royal Panford “this opportunity should be explored to attract investments to improve infrastructure, transportation networks and connectivity towards better quality of life for local communities.” The three-day event has themes reflecting progressive policy-making, enhanced intra-Africa travel, diversification of economies through MICE tourism, innovation, quality standards and tourism infrastructure development and Private-Public Partnerships. “I believe the Forum is an excellent platform for policy makers, industry leaders and knowledge creators to kick start the process in a bottom up approach by bringing together synergies between different players, celebrating unity and building bridges.
